The Whitby Sports and Social Club have five rooms suitable for holding various functions from weddings, birthday parties, retirement parties, christenings, funerals, business meetings and seminars.

 

Members Lounge

Our Member’s Lounge is a spacious, comfortable, air-conditioned room which is open to members and visitors during all opening hours.

As well as being a relaxing bar we host a range of activities including live entertainment, bingo and poker. It also has a high-definition, large screen and several large plasma screens used show live sport.

 

Presidents Lounge

This is a function room adjoined to the Members Lounge. It is well furnished with it’s own bar and access and toilets and is ideal for smaller functions and meetings. It comfortably holds up to 50 people and has a large screen which can also be used to show live sport.

 

Oak Room

This room can comfortably accommodate up to 120 people and is ideal for private functions, conferences, training sessions or meetings. It has its own well equipped bar and toilet facilities (including disabled facilities). It is also fully air-conditioned.

 

Ballroom

This is our largest room with a large stage, dance floor and seating area.

The room is very versatile and can host large parties, dances, large conferences, dinner parties, weddings and indoor sports (including marital arts, aerobics and bowls) and can even be partitioned to host smaller functions. The Ballroom has a large bar area and toilets. The capacity for this room depends on the function as it can hold from 100-500 people.

 

TV Room

Our smallest room for hire is ideally suited for small meetings and training sessions. It is fully air-conditioned and has a large TV with satellite connection. This room can hold up to 30 people.
