Going out, meeting people, seeing LIVE entertainment and socialising is a great way to lift your spirits. Not only have we got plenty of live comedy and live music to keep you entertained but you'll find that you can enjoy yourself without having to spend a small fortune.

 

Music-wise, whether you're a lover of Rock, Pop, Indie, Country, Folk, Soul or whatever, you'll find that The Whitby Sports & Social Club is an excellent venue. We produce a monthly 'Whats On' and you can keep up to date on tickets and offers by following us on twitter or facebook.

 

We actually have three venues - The Ballroom, Members Lounge and The Oak Room each with their own special, individual atmosphere.

 

As well as LIVE comedy and music, in the past we've been honoured to have had some of the worlds, greatest, sporting legends here @TheWhitbyClub.

 

From the world of football, we listened to the many interesting stories from five of Liverpool FC's European Cup winning side of 1977. In our large Ballroom Ian Callaghan, Tommy Smith, Joey Jones, Alan Kennedy and Jimmy Case all had over 300 Red's fans in fit's of laughter and tears of joy.

 

Not to be outdone, we also had an equally fascinating evening with some of Evertons' 1980's trophy-winning teams - a truly golden period for football on Merseyside (soon to return perhaps?).

 

American boxing legends Tommy Hearns and Roberto 'The Hitman' Duran have also appeared here @TheWhitbyClub. Tales from their fights in the 1980's captivated a packed Ballroom audience.
